HIPAA + Patient Privacy Notice
At NexVita Health, your privacy is foundational to how we deliver care.
We are committed to protecting your personal and medical information in accordance with HIPAA and applicable state regulations. Your data is handled with the same level of care and intention as your treatment.
Patient Privacy & Health Information
NexVita Health is committed to protecting the privacy and security of patient information. We take careful steps to ensure that protected health information (PHI) is handled in accordance with healthcare privacy standards and stored within appropriate secure systems.
To support patient privacy, the NexVita website does not collect, store, or manage protected health information directly on the website platform. Any medical records, intake forms, clinical documentation, or secure patient communications are managed through our secure patient portal powered by Healthie.
After scheduling a service with NexVita Health, patients will receive instructions to create a secure Healthie account. This portal is used for submitting health forms, accessing medical information, communicating with the care team, and managing other aspects of care in a protected environment.
Website Members Area
The NexVita website includes a members area designed for general account management and convenience. This area allows users to manage bookings, review purchases, view appointment history, access member pricing, and explore resources such as the NexVita Journal.
The members area does not store or process protected health information (PHI). It is separate from the secure patient portal used for medical records and healthcare communication.
How We Protect Your Information
NexVita Health takes patient privacy seriously and uses appropriate safeguards to protect sensitive information. Protected health information is stored and managed within the secure Healthie patient portal, which is designed to support healthcare privacy and security standards.
We limit access to patient information to authorized members of the care team who require it to provide healthcare services. Our systems and processes are designed to help maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and security of patient information.
How Your Information May Be Used
Your health information may be used to support your care and the operation of our practice. This may include:
• Providing medical evaluation, treatment, and care coordination
• Communicating with you about your health or upcoming services
• Processing payments and managing healthcare services
• Maintaining accurate medical records

Patients have certain rights regarding their protected health information. These rights may include the ability to:
• Access your health information through the patient portal

If you have questions about your privacy rights or how your information is handled, you may contact NexVita Health for additional assistance.
Telehealth & Digital Communications
NexVita Health may offer telehealth services and digital communication as part of patient care. Telehealth visits, secure messaging, and health-related communications are conducted through our secure patient portal powered by Healthie.
Patients should avoid sending sensitive medical information through standard email or other unsecured communication channels. All medical forms, records, and health-related communication should be submitted through the secure portal to ensure proper privacy protections.
Secure Patient Portal
All protected health information is managed through the Healthie patient portal. This platform is designed to support healthcare privacy and security standards and provides a secure environment for managing medical records, forms, and communication with your care team.
Patients will only be asked to provide medical or health-related information within the secure patient portal.
